Privacy by design, in plain words

  • Hosted in the EU

    Applicant media stays on our own servers in the EU.

  • Encrypted at rest

    Every image and video is encrypted by the application and only decrypted for you and the reviewers, with an audit trail.

  • Purged in days

    Media is deleted 30 days after the decision by default (you can shorten it). Only a minimal record is kept.

  • No face recognition

    The selfie is compared by a human eye. We compute no face templates or similarity scores.

  • GDPR processor, with a DPA

    You are the controller and we are the processor. The data processing agreement is part of signup.

Frequently asked questions

Does LegitFlash use face recognition?

No. The selfie and the liveness video are looked at by a human reviewer. We do not compute face templates, embeddings or similarity scores.

Can I use it for KYC or AML onboarding?

No. LegitFlash is for non-regulated sectors. Banks, fintech, crypto, insurance and gambling operators have to use a provider with video identification and an accredited audit.

Where is the data stored and for how long?

On our servers in the EU, encrypted. Media is deleted 30 days after the decision by default; a minimal record is kept for 5 years. You can shorten both.

Do applicants need an account or an app?

No. They open a link on their phone, or the embedded widget on your page.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. Test mode uses a simulator instead of real captures and is never billed, and new accounts get a free trial.
